recipe : fig-anise jam


When I traveled through the Middle East, I couldn't get enough of this stuff. 
Figs are in season, embrace them.
Lightly spiced and sweetened to perfection.

  2. Two weeks ago I made fig jam and the color is pink, I never thought about adding apple and cinnamon, maybe it will taste more like christmas

  3. I used green figs, not the purple ones! The green ones will turn out yellow/brownish. I think the background of hte picture intensified the color a bit too :)

    I'm crazy about figs--especially fig spread--but have never tried cooking with them!  Awesome.
