great list! last year at my baby shower, two of my most favorite gifts were my moses basket and aden and anais blankets, both from Serena and Lily...they are the best! I also did a post about a few of our favorite things pre-baby...and I've been thinking about updating the list now that I've had a few months experience. Will let you know if I ever get around to it :)

You must get Sophie the giraffe for all new mothers. Apparently it is the world's greatest invention & your baby cannot live w/o it. I'm not actually exaggerating- I've had people come up to be in baby stores seeing I'm holding one & start talking about how awesome it is. Every shows I've been to the moms get really excited when someone opens it. Its kind of hilarious to see grown women get so excited over a tiny rubber giraffe.
Besides Sophie though, these are great ideas! Definitely hitting up tons of baby showers this year too!
