Yesterday, I spent the day putting together my bag for my flight. I'm like a child when it comes to long flights. I must stay busy to prevent frustration and boredom, sadly. I also find long flights to be a bit daunting on my skin particularly my hands, feet and face. So I thought I would put together a comprehensive five essentials list of all the things I carry with me. I would love to hear your input for future flights [on my move back to the US]!

something warm
I prefer the window seat so I can rest my head against the wall of the plane and sleep or stare out the window, and did you know window seats are always the coldest? Most flights will have air vents on the edges of the planes to prevent condensation. So pack your snuggie, or if you're looking for something more slightly, try this oversized sweater.
wisps
Even on a normal working day, I tend to brush my teeth three times a day. In the morning, after breakfast, after dinner. I really am surprised I haven't incorporated the after dinner teeth cleaning regimen. Soon to come, my friends. I use wisps for inflight. I have this extreme phobia of airline bathrooms, so you can use wisps at your seat and no spitting required!
iPad
I think the iPad has done one revolutionary thing, bring down the weight of handbags. Games, music, movies, tv shows, books and other things all in one tablet. The iPad truly changed my inflight entertainment. Make sure everything is updated, you download everything you want to read and watch and you have a full battery before flight.

beauty elixir
I absolutely hate the recycled air on planes. It makes my skin oily, ruins my make up and ends up causing so many blemishes. This beauty elixir by Caudalie is an exceptional product. It gives you a burst of radiance, makes you feel refreshed, and perfect for right before you land. I actually use it on a daily basis right before I put on my makeup.
ahava lotion
The combination of an oily face and dry finger tips and feet is an equation for disaster. I try to stick to a lotion that is moisturizing, only slightly scented and rich in aloe vera. [It's also great for my sensitive skin]. And for all of that, a little bottle of Ahava is perfect.
Great picks, Supal. I love the stylish oversized sweater. I'll have to check out the beauty elixir, that sounds magical!
ReplyDeleteGreat essentials! I absolutely love the color of your purse! Wishing you a happy flight and all the best as you settle into your new place!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list. I too love the window, but didn't know they run colder - good tip! iPads are lifesavers aren't they? So much to do/read on one little guy. Safe travels, Supal! Can't wait to follow your adventures! :)
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to catch a flight! Such cute picks!

You are going to be such a stylish traveler! I'm always envious of those with easy to carry bags & a warm shawl or wrap on the plane. I tend to be the haphazard backpacker with things falling out everywhere & whacking people in the face.. Grace is Not my middle name in travel ;)
ReplyDeleteSo stylish! I'm with you on the window seat- perfect for looking out/head resting! I struggle with my in flight entertainment b/c I get so nauseous reading on a plane, so lots of movies & music for my iPod. Thank goodness for technology!
