Since being at St. Andrews, I will admit that I haven't really had much luck meeting too many Scottish people. There are two in my course, and Jack in particular, has been good with explaining and sharing all things Scottish culture and heritage to me.
One thing he shared with me was the importance of the tartan and it's identity. His scarf was his grandfather's [from his mothers side] whose last name was Anderson, which the tartan represents. It's a symbol of identity, pride and prestige in each family. I've found Jack's outfit to be absolutely perfect on this day as it married with the colors of his tartan that I had to share. I know this is completely different from our normal fashion posts, but a little change doesn't hurt. Right?
Plus, who would complain about a Scotsman?
