I don’t wear yellow all that often. I actually have a stunning yellow cocktail dress, but I get very nervous wearing the bright, sometimes over exaggerated color. Though I opt for pieces in other bright colors, it almost seems like yellow is difficult to style and pair with other colors. But it’s not. Thus, here is your tip guide on wearing yellow!
Simpler, lighter colors are perfect against yellow such as a nude blouse or gray. I am, however, a fan of bold colors against each other so try a navy color. A deep rich hue will make that yellow shine like gold. You can also never go wrong with a monochromatic look with any color and in yellow, you will be asking for attention. And against pattern, floral and yellow are just meant to be like in springtime.
I usually have the hardest time understanding shoes when it comes to unique colors like yellows and greens. For this shinning color try nude if you want to stay neutral, or go for a bit of pop with metallic gold and glitter. Gold glitter heels with bows are a yellow dress’ best friend.
If you want to wear black, try accessorizing in this dark hue. At the end of the day, you don’t want to look like a bumble bee so try to keep these color as separate as possible in this outfit. Red lips or nails, but not both are perfect against the yellow. Go for a deeper firecracker red.
