vogue : winter-to-spring

I know March has almost come and gone, but it’s still freezing here like it’s January. There has been hints of spring and though the weather doesn’t really reflect it, my wardrobe does. Here are my tips for a transition closet from winter-to-spring.
{scarves + accessories}
Scarves are an absolute must for the winter weather and it is throughout the month of March here too. I try to accessorize my scarves with flower and bow pins to add a little spring time touch to them. If you have bright colored scarves, like I do, choose those as your go to or then stick to pastels.
{jackets}
This is the time of the year when I get so tired of carrying and wearing a big, bulky jacket. If it is still tremendously cold then layer on light jackets over sweater and cardigans or reach out and go for your blazer instead. Always have a bright colored jacket in your closet for your transition closet.

{a little pop}
The easiest way of looking like spring is pops of color. Try to mimic the colors of your favorite flowers like lavender, roses, and tulips. Stay clear of the dark blues, grays and blacks!
{layer it on}
As I mentioned with the jackets, and I will reiterate it again. Layering can be the best way of discarding your sad winter wardrobe. A few layers will you keep you warm too and be sure to accomodate some color in there too!
