Summer has been so magical at St. Andrews. The village has been covered with all types of exotic flowers, the sun never sets, afternoon showers are accompanied by golden sunsets and rainbows. I’ve been taking advantage of the sunlight, warmth and lovely company. Lots of wine, bonfires and toasted marshmallows.
It is hard to believe that midsummer is already upon us. It seems like yesterday we all were in the midst of studying for our final semester exams. Consuming endless cups of coffee, overwhelmed with the stress of essay deadlines, summer is like a glide across the sky compared to those days. Those days are behind us, the midsummer is here, and thus it’s time to enjoy the last days of one chapter of my adventure that is life.

Also, I wanted to share a book that holds a special place in my heart. One of my closest high school friends, Becca, lost her life to cancer. To keep her memory live and well as well as to reach out to families who currently undergo similar hardships that Becca’s family went through, her father wrote a beautiful memoir of Rebecca’s journey entitled Rare.
