Back in fifth grade, I remember my English teacher asking us to write about our pet peeves. I had a long list of very meticulous, little details that I find irritating when not perfect. My mom told me about how she found the written assignment in one of my drawers the other day at home. The single page with all the little details, and I just thought I’d share how
normal crazy I am.
I just hate it when the toilet paper is rolling the wrong way. Yes, I just stepped into the swamp lands of blogging with a comment about ugly things… bathroom business being one of them. But when a toilet paper rolls from underneath, it slightly drive me nuts. I just simply change it to the
proper way opposite direction. Even if it’s not my home.
Couples who sit on the same side of the table in a booth when no one is on the other side AND they’re sitting opposite of me. By far the most awkward situation, and I always do a fantastic job of making eye contact multiple times.
People who chew with their mouth open.
No, I don’t want to know what you are eating.
Guys who leave the toilet seat up. Actually, this act doesn’t bother me too much, but when I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and I fall in the toilet… That’s when it becomes a pet peeve.
Flip flops. Oh gosh, I can go on for days! I rarely wear flip flops, even when I was in Florida. But Floridians consider it man’s greatest invention. I don’t mind them really unless you don’t know how to walk in them. Don’t drag them, don’t make them clack over and over again. I know you’re not trying to be stealthy, but each stride should be made like you’re walking on a cloud. Slowly, lightly and without a sound.
So those are the five I had time to write about during class. It’s funny to say, but I haven’t really changed a bit. Well, my pet peeves haven’t. Have any silly, little pet peeves?
