My method is quite the same, milk not water, add the berries, simmer, sprinkle some cinnamon, then top with honey and almonds. The simplest routine that you become so accustomed to and so engrossed in that everything around you feels as if it is at a distance. Stuck in my own world of that half-sleepy and dreamy state. It’s something that I may follow for years to come.
This recipe is not for porridge. With cherries in peak season, I wanted to try something different. The amalgam of ingredients like milk, berries and honey and a touch of citrus make this the ideal breakfast meal. It is the process, however, that starts the day off right.
