design : 19th century paris updated

Now I’m not one for an eclectic mix of things in my home, but I couldn’t stop myself from sharing this space. In the ninth arrondissement, this 19th century Paris home flirts with a contemporary flair. Each corner adorned with Victorian finishings, modern furnishings, neutrals with a hit of primary. It’s so carefully constructed as you can see below it’s a mix of eras and regions. Midcentury Danish, oak and slate, 1960s retro, Zimbabwe stone, industrial lighting. But what I love most, the two lithographs hanging in the washroom by Kasimir Malevich
  • such a gorgeous space! i seriously cannot get over the architecture in parisian homes…that molding is to die for…

    • I would be happy to have that molding just on a single wall in my future home. I think that’s where most of my love for some of these interior posts come from… also, be sure to enter today’s Estee Lauder giveaway! Heading over to your blog in a bit 🙂 xx

  • Love this! I would never have thought of mixing so many styles together, but it really does look great!
