live to create : rose petal ice cubes

I always say that the little luxuries of life is what gets us through an overwhelmingly busy day. I’m always looking for changing up my routine a bit, as emancipating from the norm is a bit exciting and lets you experience life without the risk of being mundane. Lately, I’ve been adding just a touch of rose water to my water carafe to place at my desk alongside the special rose bouquets and my gold day planner. Lately, as April has brought endless blossoms, I can’t help but be inspired by delicate petals and colors…

…And so, something to enlighten your daily routine, rose petal ice cubes.

{you will need}
tap water, boiled then cooled
a stainless steel ice cube tray
pesticide-free miniature roses or petals

{for the perfect rose petal ice cubes}
Fill one-third of the ice cube tray with water. Then freeze. Place the petals or flowers on top of the frozen layer. Fill the tray with water so it is two-thirds of the way full. Freeze again. The petals and flowers may be slightly poking out of the ice cubes, continue to fill the tray the rest of the way and freeze again. Enjoy with either a glass of water or pretty light colored cocktails!

  • This looks beautiful. I’m thinking mint will be great & will add a great flavor for those who don’t like water very much!

    Rose water! I have never actually tried it, not for my skin and not for my drinks. Guess I should! Florals do seem so…pretty-pretty! I love it! Like, if i were a fairy, my diet would be entirely composed of flowers 🙂 And here is some of my floral ice inspiration from Pinterest!

    • You must try it! I like to have a large glass after my work out. It’s a anti-bacterial so it’s great for cleansing your skin and inner beauty 🙂 And thank you for the additional inspo, great minds think alike! x
