Macaron, petit fours, mini meringues and the like are quintessential tea party necessities. Though I’m such a fan of French pastries I thought I would also include a little something that hails to my American side. So a turnover it is, but placed in little cups to get the crispiest and freshest apple flavors. While strawberry galettes are lovely, a touch of hazelnut adds a nice nutty flavor and slight unexpected crunch. Finally, no tea party is complete without a macaron {or several}. I couldn’t decide between pistachio and lemon, as they are my recent favorites, so I combined the flavors.
