♫♪ Coldplay – A Sky Full Of Stars

In just a few minutes, I will be heading out to the airport to make my way back home to Florida. It has been a very productive several days in New York City. As I shared last week, my main focus on the blog front has been to create content that is original and unique. I spend days focusing primarily on making plans for my future, which unfortunately involves studying and taking exams. So visiting NYC was a simultaneous escape and hit of reality. I realized that I thrive to live in a place that can offer so much, a place that you get lost in and inspired by the winding, dizzying roads.

Unfortunately, back home I find very little of that and when I am away living in cities of the world like London, I get too involved in my professional world. And my professional world is very black, white and not creative. I love what I do, I’m not saying that it’s an unfortunate circumstance, but I need to do a better job of seeing the beauty in between all that does go on. Do you go through that as well? Where you have different hypothetical hats for each element of your life? Is it healthy to have divergent worlds or is blending your world beneficial? I guess this is the rant of a girl with many hats.

I’m off to the airport now, a luncheon with some friends celebrating a birthday tomorrow and then Sunday will be spent on a sofa with feet propped up, editing the million photographs I have for you. I hope you have an impossibly beautiful weekend, wherever you are… xo. -S

  • Love that you are posting more original content, Supal. Absolutely beautiful post.

I know what it’s like to have two very different worlds (career + blog), but after years of managing both, I do believe the two can co-exist peacefully. 🙂 I love my little blog space and need the creative outlet. It’s great to have a place to share our stories and adventures.
