celebrate the little victories in life

♫♪ George Ezra – Budapest

I’m excited for this weekend. We have a family friends’ son’s wedding, which if you know from previous posts, are multiple days long. I’m getting together with childhood friends I have not seen in years. Yes, years. So it’s going to be a grand reunion. The festivities started on Wednesday and go well into the weekend. Then once things are wrapped up, I’m moving!

Lots of exciting things, change of pace, and old friends. Who can ask for a better way to spend the last few days of a chapter that is writing itself to complete? I’ve been a bit insecure and bitter about the pending changes, but I started making plans for the first weekend in my new city. I may be getting ahead of myself, but it’s the little things that make me happy.

After a long chat with one of my friends recently, I decided that looking at the final picture, the final line, the completion of a goal is too much. It’s better to celebrate the little victories. I’m going to take each day as a massive stepping stone into the next and going to try to be cognizant of all that I’ve done that day. Be proud of myself. Be excited for what’s to come the next day. We plant a garden because we believe in tomorrow, I think that’s how the Audrey Hepburn quote goes?

So celebrate the littlest of achievements, the slightest smile, the most precious summer raindrops, every. little. thing. And with that said, it’s time for me to prepare for today’s wedding activities. Be sure to follow along on Instagram to get a peek of the Indian wedding. Hope you, wherever you are, have the most beautiful of weekends ahead. xo, S.

Thanks for the links. Definitely there is a journey with anywhere we live. But for me, my journey will start and end in NYC….one of the best places in the world.
