Most of my wardrobe these days have been consumed with whites and blacks and greys. Though sometimes I’ve been adding bits of beige too. Not much in terms of color and definitely not substantial now, is it? I used to be one who wore so much floral and color and patterns, though I still resort to those pieces, my weekend uniform of choice for brunch meet-ups and afternoon rendezvous have gotten a bit more formal. Or corporate? It’s not a bad thing, but I find wearing patterns and vibrant colors a bit overwhelming to look at on me when I’ve fully-dived into a sea of office work wear 9-to-5.

Sometimes it’s the little details like an accent belt or red pumps or tassel purse that enables you to incorporate finer details of your sartorial past.

And do remember, with the appropriate black heel and perhaps a blazer if you’d like, you can definitely transform this outfit for the office.

  • I’m all for wearing black and white for business – a nice lipstick might add the right touch of colour that it all needs though 🙂

    • So true! And I’m definitely loving all the lip colors and products I’ve been trying. Might do an office appropriate post on it! x

  • Supal you are so sweet!!! And your hair is beautiful! Love the outfit, especially the bag detail and the statement shoes! 😀 <3

Very professional yet nice cute look. I love the modest of the neckline and length. not to mention the leather belted detailing, very city chic 🙂

I know how you feel, I have been in love with black and greens for weeks til now im starting to lift out of that a little bit.

    • That leather belt was in my closet for far too long and I can’t believe I didn’t even wear it until now! It really has helped to add personality to my work outfits.

  • I try to mix up my work wear with patterns and colors, but I usually end up resorting to black, white, and darker colors. I love how you added the red pumps to this dress to spice things up, but still make it work appropriate!

    • I’m always so intimidated to wear something bold at work haha, I feel like I should be swimming with a school of fish instead of sticking out haha.

  • Impecable as the French say.
