♫♪ Coldplay – Magic

It seems like my time here has been up and down, like a roller coaster ride that I didn’t really want to get on, lately. Getting used to various personalities, styles, people and places is a bit harder than what we always expect. I don’t know about you, but I often look too far in advance. Thinking 5, 10, 15 steps ahead with the expectation that things will go just as I expect. I often imagine life with very little difficulty, minimal challenges and consider new chapters to come at ease.

After a sunny, warm and engaging week came a very busy week and then this week had a sudden drop. With my father’s birthday coming and going and with me in London, I realized that I wasn’t going to be there at “daddy’s birthday”. The realization makes you think of all the challenges that you’re currently drowning in and all of a sudden you are stuck in the middle of an ocean without a lifeboat.

I’m currently at the point where I need others to give me positive reinforcement. Need them to text me nice things, leave sweet messages, phone me to tell me they’re thinking about me. This might be the lowest point, but sometimes it’s nice to know that there is a light and it has never been turned off.

This weekend I have the simplest of plans with dinner with a girlfriend, walks on the embankment, a quiet afternoon in a cafe. Hope you have the brightest, most wonderful of weekends ahead. xo. -S

  • xoxox missing you and thinking of you! Hang in there!

I love reading your weekend notes, Supal. Sending you many positive thoughts and much love! I love my father so much, too, and I sympathize with your desire to be physically present with him on his birthday.

    • So glad you could relate. It’s a bit tough, but it’s always nice to know you can care so deeply about someone! x

I know how you feel, where you expect things to go a certain way, your way and done in a certain time frame. And to do things needed to succeed and yet do things that make you happy. But uncertainty is what our brain racks around to try and solve which gives us anxiety. Fear of the unknown but its okay. We just have to live with it and learn things about ourselves, our environment as time goes on. Just try to live in the now and keep in contact with people you love to keep you grounded. With every rough patch there is a smooth surface ready for you and for me and for everyone else. Dont forget that.

And btw, those shoes are gorgeous x.

Life sometimes seems to flash by so quickly – I often miss things, and not because I’m wanting too. Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned – and I hope in those shoes, as they are LOVELY! x

    • Aw thank you so much, Jamie-Lee. And I didn’t enjoy a little day with these heels as per your advice 🙂 x

  • I hope you’re feeling a lot better now Supal! I’m going through harsh times too, but my faith is going strong… I’m sending you all my love! <3
