every man’s life ends the same way.
It is only the details of how he lived and how
he died that distinguish one man from another

It always seems like the week has been busy and I’m singing the same song to you week-after-week. This time of the year, as projects commence and we are looking for a bit of order in our lives, I tend to overbook myself. Stretch myself thin. We schedule things back-to-back in hopes to reach a little farther, achieve a bit further, and accomplish something often. Looking to cross things off on our never-ending, and often revolving, to do list.

I always associate fall, particularly mid-September to the beginnings of October with an invitation to start the year. Though I’ve been consumed with Indian festivals, collaborations and work, things are moving up. Moving up quite quickly, and I’m looking forward to the days where I can see the fruits of my labor.

These days are about experiencing and living, is what I’ve been told by my uncle recently. Days where you work hard and play hard, but you make work into something you enjoy. It’s that romanticism that consistently motivates me. Because in the end I want to reflect upon my life and think, “I did one hell of a job.”

And that should be your answer when someone replies with “you always seem so busy.” It’s all about how you live your life. With that said, I hope you have the loveliest of weekends. xo. -S

This is such a beautiful post! Every day, at some point, I think to myself (cliche as it is) I only have one life. Why not make it the most amazing, incredible experience I can? I don’t want to just get by–I want my days to be filled with things and people I love. These words were just what I needed to read before a weekend I plan on filling with exciting things 🙂

    Thank you!

    • Zoe! So nice to hear from you and thank you so much for your words. It’s good to ask yourself everyday how you can make “today extraordinary”. Glad you and I were able to relate. Hope you have a beautiful week 🙂 x

  • It’s the start of the cozy season, that always gets me a little melancholic. Have a great weekend! X

Lovely links as always, Supal! I can’t wait to try your Iranian rice dish. Also, I am on the hunt for the perfect trench coat. Preferably in khaki or olive green. Your trench coat roundup is the perfect inspiration!
