family tradition

India Hicks invites design enthusiasts into her home. A home of the family’s on a manor in Oxfordshire of Georgian style. With delicate details and softer, refined palettes. The marriage of 18th century flagstone and authentic painted portraits primarily by George Romney adorn the walls and floors. Though the palest pink walls of the gallery with white marble embellishment has stunned elegance into grandeur. Inspired by her father’s treasures, India ensures the simplest neoclassical motifs among her feminine instincts. And it is spaces like these that truly exude historical significance…

I know this seems a bit random to share at the moment as we prepare for the holidays, but as all the guests arrive I always seek inspiration from homes that were built around familial ideals. Those that are comfortable and cozy, warm and inviting.

  • I definitely need more painted portraits in my life! Especially a great looming depiction of my family to intimidate all who visit us 🙂 (that’s an actual goal)
